Are you ready to shed inches from your waist, lose all of your wrinkles, whiten your smile, and build the creative online business of your dreams?
Hi. I’m Kirsten. I can help with that last thing – the creative online business of your dreams.
(Sorry ‘bout the rest of those, friend. I hear Photoshop works great.)
You know what one of my most favorite things in the whole world is?
Sweet tea. Obvs.
You know what one of my OTHER most favorite things in the whole world is?
CREATIVE ONLINE BUSINESSES!
THE SWEET TEA STORY
I started my first blog back in 2010, called One Tough Mother. I knew virtually nothing about blogging except that I knew I wanted to blog. I had a story to share, and a life to document, so I started a blog for fun! And you know what? It was fun!
Until it wasn’t.
About 2 years or so after I started One Tough Mother, I started noticing that my site didn’t look like her site, or I wasn’t doing the things that she was doing to get blog traffic…
(You know those “hers” and “shes”, right?)
I started fiendishly trying to be “successful” just like all these other bloggers I was noticing online, and before I knew it, I was burned out. I was sacrificing family & friends & quality of life to build this thing online that was no longer a representation of me, so in December 2013, at the good Lord’s request…
I hung it up.
I spent the next six months soul-searching. I love to write. I love to take pictures, and decorate, and create…and I knew I used to love blogging, so I started over with the mission to make blogging fun + profitable…
…ON MY TERMS.
And you know what? It worked! And it continues to work! I rebranded my existing blog to Sweet Tea & Saving Grace, and started using the knowledge I had gained while growing my original blog to monetize in ways I actually enjoyed – working with real life people!
It turns out, I’m pretty dang good with email marketing & content strategy, and I have a knack for explaining complicated techy stuff in plain English so bloggers and creative online business owners can understand it for themselves.
In December 2015, Sweet Tea, LLC was born, and a short six months after that, I quit my job and now work for myself full-time – most of the time in my PJ pants surrounded by my three dogs. (They snore, but I love ‘em anyway.)
I seriously love content strategy.
I love it so much that I love helping creatives love content strategy, too. It’s my jam.
And that email knowledge I have? Well, I love that, too, and I became certified by ConvertKit as one of their experts. Pretty cool, huh?
WHAT YOU GET HERE
Well, first of all, this is a blog, so you get blog posts. (Thank you, Captain Obvious!)
I write pretty epic, in-depth blog posts every so often, but I also produce two different podcasts, as well as awesome YouTube videos.
What you get here is practical, easy-to-understand, no-tech-speak, blog and biz education and real talk to help you create a creative business and a life you can be proud of.
Huge claims, I know.
But if you don’t love running your online biz, why are you doing it? Creative business should be fun + profitable, so that’s my goal here – to help you create a biz that you love and you can live off of.
WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE?
So who the heck is this chick behind the mason jar of sweet tea? It’s me!
I spent 10 years driving 3-hour round-trip commutes to a job I hated until I built up my bloggy biz to the point where I could quit that dang J-O-B. It was miserable, but I learned a lot about business while building my own.
I live in the Atlanta, GA, ‘burbs with my hottie McTottie hubby Mark, my too-beautiful-for-words daughter Marley, and my aforementioned furbabies (the ones who snore), Savannah, Dakota, and Daisy Mae.
You’ll see ‘em – they make regular appearances on my social media accounts.
Speaking of social media, here’s where you can find me on social:
